Kaluwala's local environment received a significant boost with the official launch of the new Water Conservation project at the Jaoli Canal, located on the banks of the Song River. The initiative was kicked off by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami during a visit to the village.
This important upgrade for the area was handled by the state's river rejuvenation authority (SARA) and funded by NABARD, with a total cost of around ₹3.80 crore. The project's main goal is to improve water conservation and the overall health of the canal system that feeds from the river.
At the launch event, the Chief Minister unveiled the official plaque and released the guidelines for the Water Conservation Campaign. A tree was also planted to mark the occasion.

A healthier canal and river system is great news for local farming and helps ensure the area's water resources are better managed. It’s a solid step forward in keeping the natural environment of Kaluwala in good shape and represents a welcome investment in the things that make our village what it is.
