The forest surrounding Kaluwala has its own language, and it speaks to those who are willing to listen. In the early morning, the air is filled with the sharp, cheerful call of the Himalayan bulbul. As the day warms, you might hear the rhythmic drumming of a woodpecker high in the canopy of a Sal tree. By late afternoon, the cicadas begin their pulsating chorus, a sound that is the very essence of a tranquil wild space.

But the language isn't just birdsong. It's the rustle of a langur monkey moving through the branches, the soft crunch of dry leaves underfoot, and the whisper of the wind as it weaves through the pine needles. To walk through these woods is to be part of a living conversation. Just stand still for a moment, close your eyes, and listen—the forest has a story to tell you.
